McDonnell Douglas MD-11

The MD-11 is a modernized, slightly stretched and re-engined development of the DC-10 trijet with three-engine medium- to long-range wide-body jet airliner, manufactured by McDonnell Douglas first commercial airliner. 

The MD-11 was the result of a two year study to find a replacement for the DC-10. Based on the DC-10 the MD-11 features a 5.71m (18ft 9in) a stretched fuselage, increased wingspan with winglets,modified tail with less sweepback, new engines (first version would have had a MTOW of 580,000 pounds and would have used CF6-C2 or PW 4000 engines). It also features an all-digital glass cockpit that decreases the flight deck crew from the three required on the DC-10 to two by eliminating the need for a flight engineer. 

 The MD-11 was manufactured in five variants: 

-MD-11: the Passenger variant, 

-MD-11C: the Combi variant, 

-MD-11CF: the Convertible Freighter variant, 

-MD-11ER: the Extended Range variant, 

-MD-11F: the Freight transport aircraft variant.

In the the virtual flight simulations are some MD-11 aircrafts like PMDG MD-11, Sky simulationsMD-11 both payware and the Overland MD-11 freeware for FSX. For the overland I have made a virtual cockpit upgrade repaint which I think is a good plane and only needed a vc repaint and some work on the textures of the fuselage and if you like them request them by e-mail and I will gladly send to you.
